Carolina Beach Farmers’ Market

There’s one more month to visit the Carolina Beach Farmers’ Market at Carolina Beach Lake Park. Every Saturday through Oct. 7 it will feature locally grown fruits and vegetables, dairy products, wine, meat, baked goods, natural soaps, arts & crafts, and more. Take advantage of it while you still can!
Movie at the Lake

There’s also one more Movie at the Lake at Carolina Beach Lake Park. This one is the surprisingly entertaining The LEGO Batman, rated PG. The 1 hour, 44-minute film follows Bruce Wayne, who raises an adopted boy while fighting crime in Gotham City. You can BYO food and drinks or grab something at a nearby concession stand.

Another one of the fun things to do in Wilmington, there will be a Lego Build event at Pleasure Island Library in Carolina Beach, NC. It’s for kids from ages 5 to 12. Online or phone registry is required.
Learn To Curl

We like to make fun of it, but it’s a lot more interesting than you realize. The Coastal Carolina Curling Club hosts Learn to Curl at the Wilmington Ice House. You’ll get a free voucher for a 2nd open curling session. There will be a half-hour off-ice session to go over the basics like safety, terminology, delivery and etiquette. Reserve your spot through email.
FUNDRAISER: 4th Annual She ROCKS Luncheon

Wilmington Convention Center, 515 Nutt Street, Wilmington
This is the 4th annual luncheon that benefits She ROCKS (Research Ovarian Cancer Knowledge Support). The keynote speaker is Shannon Miller, the most decorated Olympic gymnast in American history.
Wilmington Symphony Orchestra Concert

The Wilmington Symphony Orchestra Concert at the Wilson Center features Pictures at an Exhibition with Ifetayo Ali-Landing on cello. The program includes Edouard Lalo’s Cello Concerto, and Mussorgsky Ravel’s Pictures at an Exhibition. Conducted by Steven Errante.
