Fundraiser: Surf-to-Sound Surfside Shrimp Boil

The North Carolina Coastal Federation hosts a Surf-to-Sound Surfside Shrimp Boil on the Oceanfront Terrace at the Blockade Runner Beach Resort to kick off the Wrightsville Beach Paddle Club’s paddle event. Proceeds support the federation’s projects that protect and restore water quality and support swimming, paddling and fishing along the coast.

Festivals: Riverfest

Riverfest, the annual street fair in historic downtown Wilmington, NC, along the banks of the Cape Fear River. The event features street food, arts and crafts, dance performances, fireworks (Saturday at 9:05pm), children’s activities, car shows, stand-up paddle (SUP) race, live music, and more. Adventure Zone, Kidz Zone, Skateboard Tournament, Wakeboard Competition, Film Festival, Motorcross, and Great Waiters Wine Race are all among the planned activities.
