Art of Illumination Opening Reception

The Art of Illumination Opening Reception at Cameron Art Museum in Wilmington, NC, features a chance to view more than 40 lanterns created by artists from the Cape Fear area and across the US. Light refreshments and a cash bar included, plus live music by Grenoldo Frazier.

The Wilson Center in downtown Wilmington, NC, presents David Crosby & Friends in Concert featuring the two-time Rock and Roll Hall of Famer and co-founder of the Byrds and Crosby, Stills & Nash. Crosby brings old classics to life with new spirits as he is joined by two-time Grammy winner Michael League of Snarky Puppy, Becca Stevens, and Canadian songstress Michelle Willis, playing acoustic guitars, piano and vocal harmonies.

PSL Gets Evicted! Sketch Comedy Show

PSL Gets Evicted! features local real estate magnate Ed Wagenseller (playing himself), who has gone drunk with power and bought up every theater in town, intending to demolish all of them so he can build a brand-new chain of coffee shops. TheatreNOW is the last one on his list. It’s up to Wesley Brown (Michael Cera) and the rest of the Pineapple Shaped Lamps gang to put a stop to Ed’s evil scheme and save TheatreNOW before it’s too late. Tickets are available for purchase online. (FYI: TheatreNOW isn’t actually in any real danger)

Kids’ Night Out

4th Friday Gallery Night

December 23, 2016, 6:00-9:00 PM

The Arts Council of Wilmington and New Hanover County presents 4th Friday Gallery Night, a free monthly self-guided tour of galleries, studios and art spaces featuring exhibitions of various artistic genres including oils, acrylics, watercolors, pastels, photography, glass, metals, wood, ceramics, mixed media and more. 4th Fridays also include opening receptions, artist discussions, demonstrations, live music, wine, food and other traditional and nontraditional art-related activities.
